Consulting, coaching and facilitation approach

Clients describe Sheena as insightful, challenging and respectful. They quickly discover that she is trustworthy and utterly discreet, allowing to rapidly build a strength of relationship that means they bring the real issues to the table, and are amazed at what they achieve. Through skilful questions and by playing back experience, Sheena supports individuals and teams alike, to understand the impact they have and where they need to get out of their own way. Sheena has the courage to voice what she sees, respectfully challenging whatever is limiting success. Her clients leave coaching having turned these insights into practical activities that transform the way they operate and lead, in work and beyond. Sheena is strongly focused on delivering results agreeing with clients clear business goals and how these will be tracked.

Sheena draws extensively on the varied trainings she has undertaken as well as drawing on her own thinking and models, numerous insights from both her own supervision sessions and work as a supervisor. Sheena aims for self-sufficiency for her clients, whether individuals or teams. Her goal is that they achieve sustainable shifts in how they operate which are both of value to the organisation and congruent for the individual.

As part of a team coaching assignment, Sheena is sometimes asked to add in an element of training or facilitation: to learn some coaching-related content such as giving and receiving feedback; to train in basic coaching skills; to facilitate business discussions putting into practice things they have agreed during team coaching. Sheena’s style is collaborative, and coach-like, encouraging participants to make the material their own, to be clear about how and when they will use it back in the workplace, with a focus on what success will look like and how they will measure what has been achieved. She encourages dialogue and exploration and is happy to offer her own experience of how the things she has offered have been used in practice.
