Hilary has HR and change management experience spanning over 25 years of international professional experience. Formerly leading the Global Learning and Development team with Barclays before she moved to the Middle East where she was Director of HR for a leading financial institution in the Gulf. Hilary lead the organisational change and transformation within Exxon Mobil’s joint venture with Qatar Petroleum.
In addition to her corporate in-house experience, she has spent a number of years as a consultant, including Director of Learning at the People Development Team Ltd, Europe’s leading provider of Institute of Leadership (ILM) accredited programmes. Hilary’s has delivered blended learning programmes in global organisations to support complex change and performance improvement objectives. Key projects include Zurich Financial Services Aspiring Leaders programme, National Health Service Modernization programme, British Petroleum emerging leaders programme. Hilary has developed a private coaching practice in the Middle East and has supported leaders and teams in businesses across the Gulf region who work in Aviation, Pharma, Health, Energy and Construction sectors.
Hilary works with clients to discover strengths and accelerate development and productivity. This is particularly helpful and transformative during times of transition, preparing for “what’s next” or when “stuck”. She is passionate about unlocking untapped potential within individuals and teams through a blend of psycho-dynamic approaches and pays close attention the the coaching relationship so that deep and lasting changes emerge for the client.
She has both a provocative and supportive style, providing a safe space to explore and experiment with new ways of thinking and problem solving. She also offers herself as a helpful professional thinking partner as her wide working experience brings global thinking perspectives and a unique knowledge of the Arab working world.
Hilary uses a fun and energetic delivery style as a trainer, speaker or facilitator. She particularly enjoys highly participative sessions with groups or teams. She is experienced in public speaking with audiences of over 100 people as well as group delivery to smaller cohorts. Hilary has experience of delivering in Middle East and Asia to multi cultural groups and in diverse settings
