Catherine is a highly experienced coach, change agent and facilitator with a track record of delivering order from chaos. In her 29 years with GSK she accumulated a huge breadth of industry knowledge and experience in commercial, R&D and manufacturing settings.
Building on her Pharmacy background, Catherine acquired a solid foundation of operational experience early in her career before discovering her passion for business improvement. She has led strategic transformations and coached leaders to advance operational excellence in technically-complex functional and matrix environments. The impact of this work has been accelerated delivery of pipeline medicines, increased supply chain efficiency and seamless introduction of new technologies. She has also built and managed a global capability for business improvement. Towards the end of her time with GSK, Catherine returned to operational leadership, establishing a disciplined focus on delivering governance milestones and enabling a high-performance leadership culture at an executive team level.
Catherine brings over 30 years of experience of coaching, consulting and change management within Pharmaceutical, Biomanufacturing, Oil and Gas and Education sectors. Catherine has coached General Managers, senior leaders and emerging talent, using her breadth of industry and people experience to help move them to the next level of success. She has a strong interest in enabling female leaders to realise their full potential and progress to senior leadership roles. Reflecting the global nature of today’s business world, she has worked with clients in the major geographies and across diverse cultures.
Catherine is a certified Executive coach with Ashridge Business School. As an accredited Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Organisation Development consultant, Catherine has deep training expertise. Ranging from kaizen-focused operational improvements to upskilling project and programme delivery, she has built capability in front-line staff, change agents, champions and leaders in manufacturing and service environments. She has also worked extensively with leadership teams to set direction: defining ‘true north’ goals and then enabling high performing behaviours for their delivery. She specialises in creating bespoke workshops to tackle specific business issues, using engaging and effective techniques to solve problems, plan for effective delivery and deliver business impact. She is also a skilled facilitator and process design expert.
Catherine’s empathetic and insightful coaching style creates a supportive space for clients to think, explore and get clearer on what matters to them. By having a deeper deeper and more productive conversation, she helps clients to connect with their resourcefulness and challenges them to consider new perspectives.
