Barbara has spent time working at Strasbourg international airport, leading operational teams. She initially moved into language training in Strasbourg, eventually leading a broader faculty of trainers, responsible for their development for proposing new innovative ways of delivering training to customer organizations.
Barbara has since spent her time working as an independent consultant and professional coach for the last 20 years. She has lived on 3 continents and worked in more than 20 countries. She has trained and coached more than 10 000 people worldwide in all sectors of industry, including finance and banking, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, aerospace, retail, luxury, hotel and telecoms. She has developed an online career coaching curriculum at EDHEC business school where she coordinates a team of coaches.
In addition to her coaching and training work, she is also a trained Gestalt therapist.
Her experience includes designing and developing training and coaching programs as well as coaching teams on various topics such as HR, conflict solving, cross functional and inner functional collaboration and motivation.
Barbara’s style reflects her passion and belief in people’s abilities. She has a facilitative style and is always working for progress in her approach. She tends to challenge softly encouraging people to reflect and leave their comfort zone.
Barbara strongly believes that every person has his/her own resources to succeed. She views her job as a coach to raise people’s awareness of their inner and outer resources and develop their will and ability to mobilize themselves to success.
When she facilitates, Barbara has high expectations of mutual respect and positive intention, whilst letting everyone express themselves. She encourages people to focus on things they have in common whilst appreciating their differences and coaching them on how to enrich their team through their differences.
Barbara coaches people to look at what’s above their team, the common objective, have them look at their strengths, their limits and how to overcome them to achieve their purpose.
