Anya started her career in commercial roles in the Brewing/Pub Retail industry, both in commercial functions and retail operations, where she had extensive training experience. She moved into agency and then Pharmaceutical industry recruitment, transitioning over time into HR business partnering roles.
She led significant organisational redesign projects before moving from the UK to USA, to take up a site HR Director position. She developed a passion for talent development, and spent a number of years as Global Talent business lead for GlaxoSmithKline’s Consumer Healthcare business. During this role she was responsible for designing and running development programmes for key talent at all levels and for leading the assessment and selection workstream of the Novartis Joint Venture.
Anya is now an Independent Consultant focused predominantly on Leadership and Team Development. The key industry sectors that she works with are Pharmaceuticals, Finance and Industrial where she covers a variety of client needs, from Change Management to Leadership Capability and High Performing Team development.
Anya’s training and facilitation style is high energy, interactive, open and flexible. She generally likes to keep the tone positive but will challenge in an appropriate way if it proves necessary. She has strong communication skills that support this approach.
Anya’s approach to coaching is to build strong rapport upfront to develop a relationship of trust and then combine this with deep listening to facilitate a deeper exploration of beliefs and values.
